The Knowledge Management Gateway started as a college project of one person. KMG is designed as a guided tutorial to the topic—Knowledge Management. Currently, the site consists of short introductions with links to Internet resources for further exploration. I am working on additional web products for this site to present the information about KM. At this time, more substance about the concepts and processes in KM can be found in the numerous books written on the topic (click here).

Since I first learned of this concept in college, I was intrigued by the theoretical aspects of KM. In the workforce, I have discovered the value of this concept. It has been my experience that a significant quantity of managers and executives fail to fully grasp KM. Most are familiar with the term; some even attempt to practice KM, but very few realize KM in an effective manner to benefit their organizations.

KMG is not set up to sell a product or, even necessarily to make money (although I am a capitalist and would appreciate all revenue generated from this site; and it would be nice to at least cover the cost of this project). At any rate, this site is as much an exploration for the webmaster as for the site’s visitors. So enjoy!
